Our History
Founded in 2015 in Washington, DC. to support the local ecosystem, we have grown to 30+ executive coaches supporting hundreds of leaders, investors and teams across the United States.
Managing Partners Jill Barrett and Jeremy Spaulding have engaged with investors, entrepreneurs, technologists and designers for their entire careers. They discovered what made some of them succeed in sustainable ways and what caused others to languish. Through experience and research, they understood there is a direct relationship between depth of human development and the ability to lead an organization - sustainably - into an emerging future.
From these learnings, Jill created a coaching firm distinct from others. Jeremy joined after seeing the impact of Evolve coaching on business leaders during an international accelerator program he designed and directed. “Coaching was the glue that held the entire program together,” he often tells people.
At the core of Evolve are rigorous programs, world-class coaches and advanced research. What makes our approach so impactful? We work with people not only on their underlying assumptions and internal beliefs, but also on their emotional intelligence and gut-level responses. And we co-track our results.

Evolve’s world-class, certified coaches bring deep industry knowledge along with exceptional coaching presence, skills and abilities. Because we’ve been there before, we know what you’re going through. Every Evolve coach is an ICF-certified Integral Coach®. This means we have the capacity to coach to the full range of developmental levels, except for situations where a psychotherapist would be more appropriate. We are trauma-informed and support people who are seeking vocational and purpose-driven pathways. We help people sense and feel differently, as well as see and think differently. This addresses a person as a whole, wise, interactive system which is the only way for them to make sustainable changes.
ADVANCED RESEARCH
Much of what we do can be grounded in a scientific explanation. At the same time, we are a co-learning organization, working with our clients and partners to explore new ways of doing and measuring things. We believe there is no research without action and no action without research. We are in the process of conducting cutting-edge research, designing courses, producing white papers, securing patents and exploring new technologies that will support advancements in human development at work.
