Michelle Doan, PHR, SHRM-CP, ACC is an ICF-certified Integral Coach® with over 15 years of experience in HR and talent leadership. Having worked for small, medium and large companies across tech, retail, real estate, healthcare, education and consulting, Michelle brings a wide array of knowledge to the table.
Michelle has focused on building and cultivating talent throughout her career. She spent seven years building talented teams for Target in East Coast stores through business operations and human resources management. From there, she served as an HR Business Partner at JLL, a global commercial real estate firm. In 2016, Michelle shifted her career to a more specialized role in adult learning and served as a Director of Learning and Development at The Advisory Board Company, a former healthcare and education technology, research and consulting firm. After the sale of The Advisory Board Company, she moved into various HR leadership roles at Alarm.com, a home automation technology company in Tysons Corner, VA. Most recently, Michelle served as the head of HR and Business Operations for EnergyHub, a Brooklyn-based cleantech company.
Michelle is passionate about helping others to see the best in themselves and the gifts they have to offer. Outside of her corporate work, she has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland, where she helped students discover their future career paths. She is also a graduate of New Ventures West’s Professional Coaching Certification program and has provided pro-bono coaching services to BIPOC not-for-profit professionals. She serves on the board of the Maryland Vietnamese Mutual Association.
